Surprise returns in AAA Copa Bardahl, Omos breaks record at Triplemania 34

Omos is living up to his reputation as a giant in AAA. Not only did Omos beat the legendary Rey Mysterio on Night 1, the giant also broke records in the Copa Bardahl in Night 2. Omos was the story of La Copa Bardahl, but there were also a few surprise returns. First was El Mesias (aka Mil Muertes from Lucha Underground). The AAA legend is a four-time mega champion. Personally, I think Mesias could be built up well enough as a challenger to El Grande Americano on a B-level special event. The other surprise was the final man to enter, Niño Hamburguesa. The crowd favorite was fired earlier this year over an altercation with a fan at an indie show. La Copa Bardahl is similar to the Royal Rumble. 15 men entered. Omos was the last man standing, and he did so in dominating fashion. Omos entered 13th and promptly demonstrated his power. One mini wasn’t scared to back down.
