Steven Borden Jr. has been working smaller shows and dark matches since 2024, and has just recently been integrated into AEW’s ongoing television storylines. Garrett Borden only booked his first match this past May, but he’d been quietly working with Dustin Rhodes in Texas to get ready for that.
That’s where the Borden brothers set-up their first tag match. Last weekend at a Rhodes Wrestling Association show, 240-pound Garrett got jumped after picking up a pinfall with a Stinger Splash followed by a TKO. Steven Jr. ran in to chase off his attackers The 8th Day (Timur The Great & Oday Al-Saleh), and issue a challenge.
