Former WWE wrestler arrested on sexual exploitation charges

Saurav Gurjar, a professional wrestler known to WWE fans as “Sanga” during his tenure in the company, was recently arrested on sexual exploitation charges in India.
The Times of India on Monday (September 21) reported Gurjar “was arrested by Gachibowli police at Mumbai airport for allegedly sexually exploiting a 29-year-old woman on the promise of marriage.” The outlet added the 40-year-old wrestler “was sent to 14-day judicial remand on Sunday.”
Indian media has noted that the allegations against Gurjar are still under investigation and have not yet been established in court.
Gurjar, who is also known for acting in films such as Mahabharat and Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, signed with WWE in early 2018 and spent some time in NXT, where he teamed with Rinku (later known as “Veer Mahaan”) in the tag team Indus Sher. In 2023, the duo were called up to the main roster to compete on Raw and was associated with Jinder Mahal for a period of time, but Gurjar and Veer were released
