Hardcore wrestler hospitalized after fire spot goes horribly awry
Indie wrestler Mickie Knuckles has been hospitalized in a burn unit after a fire spot during a recent deathmatch.
The incident occurred in late August during a P.O.R. Wrestling event. During her match, Knuckles was tossed by a male opponent into a plywood box that was lit on fire after Knuckles herself doused it in lighter fluid.
Even though she was quickly sprayed with a fire extinguisher and pulled away, Knuckles —who had a run in TNA in 2008 — was still very badly burned.
Clips of the moment have spread across social media, where some fans praised Knuckles for going through with such a dangerous spot, while others criticized what they felt was an unnecessarily reckless stunt.
