With former world champion Mike Santana apparently on his way out the door, TNA locked down a different former world champion. TNA announced that they re-signed Rich Swann. Fabian Aichner is one step closer to winning a title in TNA
When Fabian Aichner debuted in TNA, it was clear that the X-Division Championship was his first goal. Business picked up against current champion Cedric Alexander, then that story took a side quest for Ultimate X at Slammiversary. On the fallout episode of Impact (July 2, 2026), Aichner is back on track and one step closer to winning a title in TNA. Aichner beat five other men in a six-way match to become #1 contender for the X-Division Championship. The action was wild and woolly between Aichner, Rich Swann, BDE, Mr. Elegance, Home Town Man, and Jason Hotch. The coolest spot was a powerbomb base from Hotch grabbing Mr. Elegance on a super German suplex tossing Swann for a splash onto Aichner on the mat.
