WWE reportedly won’t strip Chelsea Green of title despite injury, and here’s why

When Chelsea Green climbed that ladder in Minnesota a couple weeks ago to become the interim WWE Women’s champion, most of the wrestling fans I know were pretty excited about it. WWE seemed to sense that… … but then Green confirmed she suffered a broken orbital bone in her tag match on SmackDown last Friday (Aug. 7). But via Fightful Select, WrestleVotes reports that as of yesterday (Aug. 12) WWE planned to keep the Women’s belt on Chels while she’s out of action the next few weeks. What’s more, they’ll keep her on television with the title and involved in storylines until cleared.
