AEW Redemption opened with a WILD 6-man ladder match

Heading into AEW’s newest PPV, the show’s existence was questioned quite a bit. The concern was the promotion didn’t need this new event, Redemption, to tell its big stories heading into their big return to Wembley Stadium next month for All In, and that booking the show could even screw up those plans. We’ll see as the night goes on. But we can tell you the paid portion of Redemption opened with a typically fun, typically bonkers AEW multi-person hardcore match. In this case, it was a six-man ladder match for a shot at the International title currently held by Kyle Fletcher. The entrants were high-fliers and/or luchadors, so… yeah. Nuts. Redemption was in Montreal, where Speedball Mike Bailey is from. He took things to the next level with an on-stage ladder spot… ALLONS-Y!
