Penta advances in World Heavyweight Title Tournament

When AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio pulled World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns to the side on Monday Night Raw recently, we later learned he did so to pitch the OTC on an idea. A tournament would be held to find a challenger for the world heavyweight championship when WWE comes rolling through Mexico City on Sept. 14. That’s a full month to work their way through a series of matches to find a worthy challenger, with wrestlers from Raw, SmackDown, and AAA all included in the bracket. The action got started on this week’s episode of Raw, with former Intercontinental Champion Penta taking on Laredo Kid. Predictably enough, the two were given plenty of time to put together a fun match and they delivered the goods in that regard.
