Nyla Rose hints that it’s not Tony Khan who’s to blame for her absence from AEW

She’s stayed busy on the independent scene, wrestling in the United States, Canada, England, and Japan. Any But Nyla Rose, a former AEW Women’s World champion, hasn’t appeared on AEW television back in 2024 when Rampage still existed. She hasn’t been rotated to Ring of Honor, either. Rose’s last ROH match was two years ago, too. The Native Beast has been on the interview circuit lately. That’s given us Nyla’s comments on the warning the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission issued to AEW after Nyla (who is transgender) wrestled there in 2024. That was in a talk with Denise Salcedo, where she said of her AEW absence: “It is a little hard. It is a little frustrating.” In another appearance, this one on Off The Rails with Jasmin St. Claire, the host joked that she would beat up AEW head honcho Tony Khan to get Rose back on television.
