Nigel replaced, tag title match, & more added to ROH Death Before Dishonor PPV

The card for ROH Before Before Dishonor was shuffled the night before the PPV. Nigel McGuinness is out of the Pure Championship match, and his replacement is a former champion. Mistico and Mascara Dorada have their work cut out to defend the ROH tag titles in a four-way. Red Velvet has her hands full against AEW stars in the women’s TV title division. Plus, more is in store for the event on Friday night (Aug. 21, 2026) from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The big news is that Nigel McGuinness is not medically cleared for the ROH PPV. He suffered a foot injury last week in the AEW Continental Challenge Cup and still pushed through the pain to compete in the quarterfinals on Dynamite. The plan was for Nigel to honor his commitment to challenge Lee Moriarty for the ROH Pure Championship. Plans change.
