Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns helps Danhausen win at SNME

When Danhausen uncursed the New York Knicks and they proceeded to win the NBA Championship, it was set in stone — WWE was going to do everything it could to make him the biggest star possible in the city. Saturday Night’s Main Event just so happened to be scheduled for tonight (Sat., July 18, 2026) at Madison Square Garden. The promotion wasted no time booking Danhausen in a match. They put him opposite The Judgment Day, as he’s been terrorizing the group for weeks now, and that meant a match-up against JD McDonagh. Dirty Dominik Mysterio was out with his stablemate, however, and this was significant because it was to be a No Disqualification match. The real question was how goofy the match would get. McDonagh was doing his thing early, and then Danhausen put a Knicks jersey on and it amounted to a power up.
