Hot take: WWE should do away with all cage matches

WWE should do away with all cage matches. Seriously, what’s the point anymore? Today, cage and Cell matches are glorified eyesores for what amounts to just another match filled with tables, kendo sticks, and other wacky items. Oh, and, appropriately, garbage cans because modern cage matches are trash. There was a time when the cage was the weapon. Wrestlers used it as a face shredder to torture their most hated enemies. But for a match that’s supposed to settle a blood feud, there’s no blood, mutilation, or even some clever incorporation of the cage.
