CMLL ‘counterprograms’ WWE AAA Triplemania with AEW and NJPW talent

September will be stacked with lucha libre and wrestling events in Mexico City wrapping around the Mexican Independence Day holiday. With WWE’s AAA holding Triplemania 34 on September 13, CMLL is bringing in talent from AEW, NJPW, and Stardom for their weekly Sunday event. This could be coincidence, or it could be an attempt at counterprogramming for ticket sales and so forth. Whatever the case, don’t that let the truth get in the way of the story of Mexico’s two major lucha libre companies going head-to-head.
