WWE SmackDown preview (Aug. 14, 2026): Baron Corbin is too tall for the SmackDown roster

SmackDown airs tonight with a live show emanating from TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. This is the second episode of SmackDown during the nine week build to Money in the Bank, which takes place on October 10. Baron Corbin is too tall for the WWE SmackDown roster Baron Corbin has had great success on SmackDown since he returned to WWE last month. He cheated to win the United States championship from Trick Williams at SummerSlam, and he did it again to beat Trick in the rematch last week on SmackDown. Trick may have all the charisma in the world, but that didn’t do much for him going up against Corbin’s most impressive skill in the ring, which is being very tall. The very tall new champ has an even bigger height advantage tonight when puts the belt on the line against Carmelo Hayes. Corbin took out Melo with End of Days last month during his WWE return, which ruined Melo’s chance to win back this belt. Carmelo now has a singles match against Baron to get revenge and take his title.
