Rumor Roundup (Sept. 12, 2026): WrestleMania 43 plans, Bayley contract, Raw/SmackDown taping, more!

We made it to the weekend. Let’s get it started with some rumors. Lead Rumor: Possible WrestleMania plans When WWE heads to Saudi Arabia next year, they will do so for the company’s biggest show of the year — WrestleMania 43, which still doesn’t have an official date but will take place in April 2027. Because it’s in Riyadh, the expectation has been that they’ll pull out the big guns for the main event, like maybe even getting The Rock for the show. That may not be the case after all. Indeed, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter indicates the current belief is WWE is building to having Roman Reigns defend the world heavyweight championship against Oba Femi on night two. Dave Meltzer was quick to note, however, that plans can and likely will change between now and then but as of right now at least, that appears to be the plan.
