He is the reigning, defending WWE champion. Amazing! It’s probably not going to last. WRKD Wrestling already said “don’t get too attached” and Dave Meltzer echoed a similar sentiment on Wrestling Observer Radio. He said he doesn’t see a long reign and “I don’t think that he’s the guy in their plans,” comparing it to Darby Allin’s run with the AEW world championship. We will see if it lasts even that long. Another aspect of this is Meltzer wasn’t sure if this was a reaction to recent criticism of the booking and creative
