Welcome to the weekly Rumor Look Back, where we look at the rumors from six months ago and see which played out as originally stated. Let’s jump right to it. March 6, 2026 Following Road Dogg’s exit from WWE and Alexandra Williams’ promotion to lead writer of Raw, Wrestling Observer Live’s Bryan Alvarez heard “it’s possible there is more to come” regarding WWE’s creative team shakeup. I’m not sure if that’s the case. I think it was just time for Dogg to leave. Multiple outlets indicate Dogg wasn’t happy about his new position after WWE’s creative restructuring. PW Insider said he expressed that unhappiness in person to WWE and resigned from the job. He’s kept busy on Twitter for sure. (Not a good thing.) Even though Road is no longer on WWE’s creative team, Insider says he is still under a separate Legends contract with WWE. I’m unsure his value as a WWE Legend without Billy Gunn. According to WrestleVotes, WWE has “worked on logos and specialty merchandise” for NFL legend Tom Brady.
