Mistico tag title defense, Claudio faces a legend in Arena Mexico

Friday night is looking tight for CMLL. The lucha libre promotion booked Mistico in a tag title defense and Claudio Castagnoli will wrestle a legend in Arena Mexico. Last week in trios action, Angel de Oro and Niebla Roja pinned ROH tag team champions Mistico and Mascara Dorada. Los Hermanos Chavez currently hold the CMLL World Tag Team Championship and the NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Championship. Mistico accepted the challenge on one condition. If Sky Team retains ROH gold, then they will be granted a shot at the CMLL tag titles. CMLL booked the ROH bout for Friday night (July 10, 2026) in Arena Mexico. It will be the first defense for Sky Team.
