The artists formerly known as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods left WWE earlier this year, and it took zero seconds at all for speculation to run rampant that the duo would sign with AEW. A deal was done and the tag team formerly known as The New Day became The New Level, using the names Kofi & Austin Creed. What’s more, they instantly won the AEW World Trios Championship alongside Swerve Strickland at the All In pay-per-view in London. Later in the show, they were out to showcase the tag team division in AEW, with multiple teams — The Young Bucks, FTR, and Motor City Machine Guns — confronting Edge & Christian after they retained the AEW tag team titles (by cheating, of course) against the same Bucks.
