Andrade El Idolo just won the AEW National championship a few nights ago at Redemption. He defended his new belt for the first time on tonight’s (July 29) Dynamite, where he beat “Jungle” Jack Perry and Nick Wayne in a 3-way match (Perry isn’t very good at catching these title opportunities that keep falling out of the sky). After the match was over, Andrade cut a promo bragging about first taking MJF’s Dynamite Diamond Ring and then taking the Don Callis Family’s National title. With that said, he still plans to win the AEW world championship. Andrade probably has the most forgettable title in the promotion, so I don’t blame him one bit for that. He’ll have a chance to cut to the front of the line for the world title next month (Aug. 30) at All In at Wembley Stadium, where AEW just announced there will be a men’s Casino Gauntlet match.
