AEW All Out sells out in Chicago, even head-to-head with WWE and CM Punk

Sat., Sept. 26 is shaping up to be a big day of wrestling in Chicagoland, with AEW All Out happening in Hoffman Estates, Illinois that night as WWE is roughly 30 minutes away in Rosemont with a World Collide show featuring its Lucha Libre AAA brand, and Chi-town’s own CM Punk. WWE’s announcement of Worlds Collide was the latest example of a counter-programming effort that’s said to be designed to “hurt AEW” any way it can. Fans can — and are — debating the effectiveness of the strategy… But while it may help WWE in the attention economy, it didn’t hurt All Out’s gate. With 11 days to the show and more matches to be announced, WrestleTix says AEW’s sold out its current configuration of NOW Arena.
