AEW adds a ton of new matches to Grand Slam Mexico, including ‘former world champions’

AEW’s Grand Slam Mexico edition of Dynamite takes place next Wednesday night (Aug. 5). Considering this was one of AEW’s most successful shows of 2025, I was surprised at how lackluster the 2026 iteration felt coming out of last night’s Dynamite. AEW addressed that problem in a big way during tonight’s live episode of Collision by announcing several new matches for their return to Arena Mexico.
